Advocate Now
Now you may be questioning: “What happens after awareness? What can I do with this information?” We are not as helpless as you think. We continue to voice out by spreading awareness, consume directly on our farmers, sign petitions to help them, and volunteer on non-government organizations advocating for agriculture.
Support our Local Farmers
Support our local farmers by buying directly from them. This lessens the burden from our farmers to pay extra and additional fees just so their harvest wouldn’t go to waste. In provinces, you can always find them in front of their farm.
Bagsakan Farmers
If you’re around Metro Manila, you can still directly buy freshly harvested fruits and vegetables from our “Bagsakan” Farmers Market! Bagsakan is where farmers from all around the nation sell their harvest without a middleman. They are also open for deliveries and you can find their information on their facebook page. To know more about Bagsakan Farmers, you can also check their Linktree.

Junk Rice Liberalization Law or REPUBLIC ACT 11203
“The Rice Liberalization Law resulted in the monopoly control of large traders, hoarders, importers, cartels, and smugglers on the supply and distribution of rice, making the most profit at the expense of the poor and marginalized rice producers and consumers,” Bantay Bigas spokesperson Cathy Estavillo said in a statement (Legaspi 2024).
