Who is KASAMA-LR?

The Katipunan ng mga Lehitimong Magsasaka at Mamamayan sa Lupang Ramos (KASAMA-LR) is a grassroots peasant organization composed of farmers and residents of Lupang Ramos, a 372-hectare agricultural land in Dasmariñas, Cavite. This land has long been the site of land disputes, ownership controversies, and unjust attempts to displace those who have lived and worked there for generations. 

The group was formed as a direct response to these threats. For decades, farmers and residents have faced pressure from land grabbing, harassment, and even militarization, all aimed at stripping them of their homes, their livelihood, and their right to land. United by the goal of defending their homes and farms, KASAMA-LR organizes collective action to assert their rights and resist unjust evictions, harassment, and militarization. They work together to defend their rights, expose injustices, and promote the principle that land should belong to those who till it.

For years, the people of Lupang Ramos have endured threats to their homes, their harvests, and their very existence as a community. KASAMA-LR represents not only their fight for land but also their struggle for security, recognition, and survival.
